Event Description
The pandemic transformed our homes from mere shelters into multifunctional hubs — encompassing work, education, socialization, and even exercise. As we tried to fit our lives within four walls, the critical role of spatial quality for our wellbeing became all the more evident. Today, architecture’s mandate extends far beyond constructing individual units; there is broad recognition that it must instead foster physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through sustainable, nature-integrated designs that can bridge the urban–rural divide. But how can this be translated into action? This session will explore architecture’s role in shaping livability beyond square meters — and how design can enhance both individual and collective flourishing.
